Saturday Night Sinema brings you a double bill of Canadian Tax Shelter Classics!

This October, we present a double bill of horror from the great white north! First, the 1983 slasher An American Nightmare. Producer Ray Sager (who also played the titular lead character in Herschell Gordon Lewis' The Wizard of Gore) will be in attendance to present the film.

The second feature of the night at 11pm is the 1982 killer rats epic Deadly Eyes, directed by Robert Clouse (Enter The Dragon and Gymkata) The folks from the Trash Palace in Toronto will present the film.

Both features are presented in 16mm. Trailers and prizes will be included.

Saturday Night Sinema is back at Club SAW on Feb 23rd for a double bill extravaganza!

For Black History month we'll be playing "Superfly" and "The Super Cops" starting at 10:00pm. Both films are on 16mm film.

Club SAW is located in the Arts Court Building at 67 Nicholas St. close to the market. Tickets are $5.00 and refreshments will be on hand.

Hopefully will have our new 16mm projector up and running for the screening...which will be housed in a booth along with a 35mm projector. By March we should have the 35mm up and running for our next screening.

Saturday Night Sinema continues the last Saturday night of every month with classic grindhouse movies from around the globe.

January's feature presentation is the 1982 women-in-prison epic Caged Women (Violence in a Women's Prison) starring Indonesian beauty Laura Gemser and directed by the late Italian sleazemaster Bruno Mattei.

Presented in glorious 35mm!!

WARNING! Not for the squeamish, faint of heart or the pansy-ish!!!

Admission is $5.00 at the door. Box office opens at 10:30pm
Prizes will be given away, plus will be playing a classic trailer reel before the feature of flicks from the 60's, 70's and 80's

Produced by an Italian company and shot and set in Ottawa and Montreal, this film follows the exploits of a hard boiled Ottawa cop (Academy Award nominee Stuart Whitman) as he investigates the mysterious death of his sister who was a college student in Montreal. Car chases, brawls and kung fu fighting transvestites are all part of the package in this rare and offbeat action thriller. Also starring Martin Landau, John Saxon, Tisa Farrow. Ryuhei Kitamura's amazing Azumi comes to the Mayfair Saturday, July 28th at 10:45 pm. This action packed movie is based on a highly popular manga serial by Yu Koyama. Like Ryuhei Kitamura's stylish and gory previous films (Versus, Alive and the soon to be released Midnight Meat Train) Azumi wastes no time in getting down to business. Once again Kitamura demonstrates his awesome skills with camera movement and fight choreography. At the end our ass kicking heroine (in cool skin tight period clothing) takes on as many as 200 foes.
